About Us

At A Landscape and Garden design we incorporate a number of processes when engaging with our clients, initially discussing the client requirements and expectations, doing a survey of the site, creating plans and drawings, if necessary, and quoting accordingly with full transparency. A service level agreement is draw up and the schedule of work is communicated as well as ensuring our client is updated on all activities throughout the process.

Whether it is residential or commercial projects required, we provide every client with competitive pricing and always strive to maximise our outputs according to your budget and provide you with a high end finished design.

Our 7 Principles of Design

We work according to the following 7 principles of design:

Simplicity

Prioritising what is important and what is not in order to keep the design clean, neat and uncluttered.

02.

Variety

Shape, size and form selections should be diverse in order to create visual interest.

03.

Balance

Everything that is placed in a design will carry a certain visual weight with it. Balance is the concept of ensuring the weight feels even throughout the plan.

04.

Emphasis

Accentuating parts of the design using texture, form or colour will provide interest and lead the eye through the design.

05.

Sequence

Sequence refers to how the transitions in the elements of plant size, shape and texture are used. Gradual changes of one element at a time offer a smooth, appealing sequence.

06.

Proportion

The size of the components in a landscape is scale and how they relate to each other is proportion. The size of your landscape and the items in it should all be balanced.

07.

Unity

Unity is the concept that everything works together. Interconnection is gaining unity by using connections such as paths, walkways, stairs and fences to physically link areas.
